I dislocated my knee cap a few months back and have been going to rehab ever since. I'm a little worried about skiing this winter, anyone ever have this happen to them and how does your knee respond now?
If you've been going to rehab and actually doing your workouts you'll be fine. I had a meniscus, cartilage, and lcl repair 4 months ago and already have been cleared to ski this winter. If anything start small, see how your knee responds, and work your way up. Wear a knee brace if that will give you peace of mind
ive done this 2 or 3 times and was able to ski about 2 weeks later without any real rehab. the only sketchy part is that theyll come out much easier after doing it once or twice, just be careful and dont push it too hard right after u get back on snow.
Be careful man I had MPFL reconstruction from dislocating my knee cap like 4 times. It is always super painful, and as not been the same after the surgery. I can still rip, but I am a little bit more conservative than I used to be.
