To set the scene......
My mom, the person that got me into skiing-bless her for that, recently decided to go on a gear buying spree. She bought some nice flat tails from DPS, pretty expensive stuff. However, the day they were being mounted, she gave a "Finale-Day" to her old and now retired Atomics. On one of the last runs of the day, she destroys her knee. Torn ACL, MCL, PCL, LCL, and meniscus. She will probably never ski again. She doesn't want the skis to go to waste, as they have never been used. But we don't have another girl in the family that would use them enough to get the value back. My question to you NS is, "Should I use the skis or should she sell them and try to get face value back?"
TL/DR: Mom buys new skis, mom won't ski again, should the son use them?
