Style above comfort?

Have you ever chosen to look cool knowing it will affect your comfort? wear those way to tinted goggles on a foggy day, riding pullovers in a blizzard, sagging your pants so much you are struggling on getting your turns right, or even just gone totally crazy and done a no glow day?

common, i know you all ain't perfect.

I pay the price every time I ski for the ridiculous lenses on my crowbars.

I got them really on a real good deal a few years ago, they look awesome and am too cheap to buy a new lens so I suffer in the name of beauty.

nope. although my pants do fall down a lot. I even wear a heavy duty belt but it usually blows open when i fall

Style is key. But I have to say, I'm comfortable wearing bagged pants and tall tees and all that stuff. It honestly feels better.

I wear a Spyder jacket from 1998 that has arms that are too short and snow gets in them all the time. There's no hood, so I'm always cold. The bottom of my jacket is too short and I get snow in there too. the bottoms of my tight Bogner pants don't fit over the top of my boots, so snow goes in there all the time too. My neon headband doesn't provide the warmth that I need, but it's hot pink. The flip side is that there is this awesome red stitching on the back of my jacket of a spider, so i stay looking fly when throwing daffies. I have another problem when my eyes start watering because my blade sunglasses don't shield the flowing air. But that's just the price you pay to look dope as fuck.

I thought this was going to be a thread about comfort of actual skiing/body movement. The difference between what most people call style when doing a trick and what feels most natural to you. I feel style comes when you are comfortable with skiing and doing the tricks you do. But i guess my question would be.... how many of you alter your style (referring to body movement not comfort) for whatever reason sacrificing actual flow and comfort while riding?

Sooo what's a proper carved turn? Did your European ski coach teach you the 'proper' way to ski?

Nope. Sorry skiierman wannabe, I just don't get making fun of other peoples clothes. Now I wouldn't condone inappropriate clothing for the conditions, but I wouldn't condemn them either. You sound like a Grade A shithead.

that being said - I do like to get my party on in my 3 piece suits that I get for $10 from thift stores now and then. Cost of looking good, you know? One of these days I'll get a proper tailored suit and I'll be both fashionable AND comfortable.
