Best entry level camera

Im a beginner filmer looking for a camera that will get decent shots. Mostly filming other skiers on the hill and a few backyard tripod shots. What would be a good camera for around 150-200 dollar range? Also glidecams... soo expensive, should I just biuld one?

If you really just want to film, I'd go for an inexpensive camcorder over any DSLR or the like.

For that much money I would look at scoring a used GoPro hero 3 black. People are dumping them cheap on Craigslist right now because the Hero4 just came out. The 3 Hero black is still a fantastic camera for the price.

I have a contour roam, I actually really like the wide angle lense. The quality imo compared to the gopro is pretty bad tho. Really considering a hero 3
