Okay, so I don't normally drink caffeine... or at least I rarely do. I don't really drink coffee and never have regularly, and I don't drink soda really ever.

This week, I've been having a coffee most days and HOLY SHIT I feel cracked out.

I mean what the fuck I feel like a hyperactive kid with a stomach ache and a consistent need to poo. How do you guys drink coffee every single day. This is bonkers.

DingoSeanNo coffee today. Sugar free energy drink time. Together with two jalapeno cheddar bagels (are these common elsewhere by the way? I didn't see them too often when I lived up north, but they're everywhere in CA).

Lets see how this works.


I see them everywhere in Colorado, even in South Dakota and Wyoming. Also I'm hungry now...jerk

That's kinda funny because all energy drinks make me feel like ass yet coffee is my lifeblood.

So far, I'm kicking some ass with it.

Tried a "Xyience Xenergy Mango Guava" or whatever the fuck this is. They were 2 for $3, so I bought one for tomorrow as well. I'm usually not down for sugar free, but nothing gets your morning off on a worse start than sticky sugar teeth... hate that shit.

...and on further inspection, this lacks aspartame. I'm down with that.

I started drinking coffee years ago but my body has gotten used to it so now if I don't have a cup in the morning, especially before skiing because the elevation, I get a headache around 1:00. I did just drink for taste not energy but now I don't ant to stop because of withdraws for a couple of days.

Been sick for four days. Not a drop of coffee. The headaches suck soooo bad. I think this makes me want to cut back a bit to fewer cups/day.

Love these, Tim Hortons had them for a limited time but seems to have discontinued them, fortunatly Costco recently started selling them. Delicious with cream cheese & bacon or as a BLT.

right there with you OP, I actually really enjoy the drinking of coffee, the taste, and texture, but the caffeine turns me into a crack head if i have more than 8 oz

if you exercise regularly and drink water you'll have way more energy. if you need a little bit of energy to focus take korean ginseng.


The ginseng part may be true, but I disagree with the rest. I used to drink way more coffee and I workout. I started using preworkout so I only have 1 cup of coffee a day, maybe 2. However, even with the working out, a lot of water, and taking breaks to walk around a little, i get pretty tired around 2. If I didn't enjoy a cup of coffee I would hate my life/never make it to 5pm. I forget who said the quote and exactly how it goes but: coffee to get you thru the workweek and alcohol to get you thru the weekend.

just quit cold turkey, i have not had a carbonated soft drink (AKA POP, Soda, energy drink) in well over a year, and have cut off caffeine in all forms for almost a year. I just drink de-caff at work and its the exact same.

Plus the girl in starbuks will give you a crazy stare when you order a de-caff at 8am. Worth it.

I've been chatting with some folks I know in Lyon and Paris in the last few days, and they are sending me some coffee from this French maker called 10 Belles or something. Granted I haven't had it, but I trust their judgement on this far better than my own.

i started drinking caffeine consistently about 4 years ago. i was only drinking tisane before that, and never really had coffees unless it was once a year exam period. but i was hyper caffeine sensitive for a long time, still am, and i can't have caffeine on an empty stomach otherwise i feel terrible. on occasions i feel jittery and like my heart is pulsing too fast... but i usually drink teas, so coffee happens once in a while. and i can go without caffeine.

The stomachache comes from coffee being so acidic I would think. The shittier the coffee, the worse it will be. I would shy away from too much of the standard green monster. BUCKETS of sugar in there. I swing for the Monster Rehab when I get it. However, it is so much caffeine. After a certain amount the caffeine no longer takes effect and can backfire on ya

Nice to see that you're still butt hurt. I drink coffee for one reason to stay awake, not for taste so usually have a cup right when I wake up then run out of my house. my sister does some subscription service with coffee. When I drink that in the morning it all seems the same to me. Just my .02

Caffeine is addictive, and your body can develop a reliance to it. I don't mess with that shit simply because our bodies were carefully build over thousands of years of evolution to function properly without caffeine. Do I ingest other unnecessary chemicals? Yes, but I try to avoid becoming that person who NEEDS their morning cup of coffee to even function.
