How do you get over the fear of doing some risky tricks?

I'd like to know how you all get over the fear of hitting a new trick or one that's hard.

Personally my friends hype me up and tell me ill stomp it perfect.

Don't think about it. When you get off the lift, just think about skiing to the park. When you get to the park, just think about getting to the feature. When you get to the feature, just think about throwing the trick. My friends call it the 3 second rule. We aren't allowed to stay stopped for more than 3 seconds after getting off the lift. When we are at the feature, we just run through the steps in our head and throw the trick.

My friends just yell "Nut up or shut up" and "the old you would of done it" ...gets me everytime

actually the less you think about it the better...try to keep your mind clear and just got for it

1. Try something new but fairly easy
2. Do some good laps, throwing down your favorite tricks
3. Get stoaked on skiing
4. Get confident in yourself

vision what your gonna do all the way up. another thing i like to think about is my worst skiing injury, that being either a dislocated knee or a broken wrist. Everytime i think, those didnt even hurt that bad and I was skiing less than a week later so whats the worst that could happen?

the way i get ready for it by focusing, then not giving a fuck when i send it to gucci and land on my hip 10 ft passed the landing on a nice soft icepad


but yea, just dont think about what will happen if you dont do it, visualize and think about how you will do the trick

When ever I am standing on a scary line, I always take a few deep breaths and drop in. The second you start making turns you get into that zen mode and just start killing it. Adrenaline always takes over and conquers.

Before hitting something new, I think, I'm probably going to regret this, but I can only find out if I try it. Sounds cheesy as fuck, but it helps me not pussy out at the last second.
