New Year's Eve trip

Just tell them there are chaperones and shit thatll be massive buzzkills the whole time. Let them know there is security in the hotels and that you really want to go because these will be the memories that you will cherish forever when you are a drunk bum living on the streets of Toronto by age 25.

My parents were against mine too. Our S-Trip is going to Cuba in July. I got my trip organizer to speak to my parents directly about any concerns they had. If you talk to one of your Student organizers, they have the info for your trip organizer (Their info is also online when you log in to your trip). If they can convince my parents to let me go to Cuba for a week, I'm sure they'll be able to work on something for Quebec

Sorry for double post, but some of my friends had gone this summer and apparently theres a shitload of chaperons at all times, so you can still party hard, but theyll stop you from doing anything too dumb. If parents have a bad image in their heads, theyll be dead set against the trip, so maybe speak to some kids that have gone already to allow your parents to hear some more positive things about the trip

the shitty part is that they've heard stories about what goes on. My mom got an email about all this shit with m and hot boxing rooms. I find this really hard to believe. thanks for the help though

When I was a senior in high school soon to be graduating, my friends and I planned a week long senior trip down to Newport Beach the second week of summer. My mom, being a classic Korean Tiger Mom, hastily declined and basically put me on lockdown the last month of my senior year. Fast forward a month of sneaking out, lying to my mom, etc. and it was the eve of the senior trip (that I paid a non-refundable $520 without her knowing) that I still was not allowed to go. Well I decided fuck it and I snuck out that night and was driving down I-5 towards SoCal by the following morning. The first two days of the trip I spent paranoid that my mom would end up at the house we were at (I am from the Bay Area), or the Newport Police or something (my mom has done some crazy shit to me). Well the next five days were some of the best days of summer (drinking and partying and bonfires and slacklining and surfing and all that good stuff) and it is now about a year and half later and my Mom and I have exchanged maybe 10 words thus far.

So I say if your parents say you can't go...fuck it and just sneak out.


I hope you all enjoyed this personal anecdote of my troublesome relationship with my mom. I'm really high.

Maybe find a cool parent to convince her that wasnt true? If she hears positive feedback from a few parents, then she will at least be thinking about it, then its time for you to work your persuasive magic
