Who would it be? What position would you like? And why?



I personally would go with 4frnt as a ski assembler. I love the product they make and you can tell they have passion in what they do. Honestly I would LOVE to be with any company and being a part time intern has helped me realize that.

4frnt, I've been in the storefront a few times and everyone always has a positive attitude with the stoke high as can be. When I went to pick up my YLE's my little brother asked me what goes into making skis, so I asked if they could possibly show us the white room. They didn't even hesitate and Thayne showed us around which was sweet because he's one of my favorite skiers. I could tell that they were pretty busy and didn't like intruding like that but they were always informative and had good vibes. They even offered the mini ramp for another day since production was high and we skated there. My dream job would probably be working my ass off in the summer making skis and riding my hard work during the winter. They're all super cool people who obviously like to give back to the skiing community. 4frnt has my vote.

that's fucking sick and literally the story on how I got my internship with level 1. I walked in to grab a few saga jackets and just check out the facility and dan was overly awesome about being the homie hahah

Liberty skis!!! Making skis for them would be amazing. I've always wanted to make skis, and making skis for a company that I think is one of the greats, that's the dream.

Pretty much any company. My ideal job would be the team manager so you can go around to resorts and look at who has the best attitude, skiing and having the most fun as well as killing it in comps and signing them to the flow team would be the best feeling for me I think. As well as signing pro athletes to the roster. Maybe i'm completely missing the point of what a team manager does but in my mind that would be the best job. Maybe director of social media as well would be sick.

Saga...their team and staff is so cool, I would probablly just want to be on the skiing team and work and hang out at the shop because the shop at PC look so cool and hella fun!

Not to be a debbie downer, but careful what you wish for. There's a good chance you wouldn't have time to ski for a few years until you can afford employees. Any small business is tough, but especially a highly competitive ski market.

I've applied to my local ski shop Buckman's for 3 years.... no interview and they've been hiring non skiers from my school its BS. Except probably Stept if we're counting the media side as a filmer because nothing would be sicker than taking my two passions and putting them together for a living.

North American team manager at any company (probably Nordica doe) because you are basically a pro but you dont actually need to be good at skiing and no one really knows who you are. As a plus, you are heavily involved with marketing and promotion, which interests me.

Icelantic SKis. I have been a fan of them since the came out back in 05-06. Everything they do is so down to earth with ski culture. They may not have the best skiers, well besides Martini and Carr, but they just fucking get it when it comes to skiing. They treat more than just a sport it is an art form.
As far as work goes I would love to East Coast Sales Manager.

Match Stick Productions. I love their movies and it would be so sick to travel with the crew to all the awesome locations they shoot at. After filming the pros maybe I'd get to ski some sick lines too.

First off being a TM isn't all cakes and puppies. You're literally in charge of people who have devoted their lives to living on their own program and not wanting to listen to anyone else. You can probably see the conflict there. Second, Evan Williams is a boss (I know you probably weren't calling him out).

That all being said the traveling and involvement with the team, marketing and promotional side of things is amazing. Just don't forget the snow season only lasts so long. There are a lot of months where the TM has to sit in front of a computer figuring out how to make the riders happy all while not breaking the bank. Balancing being a friend of your riders and having a close relationship with while still being technically their boss is a very fine line. But if you ever get the opportunity, take it.

They're the best. I was looking for an internship like 2 years ago, and I emailed a bunch of ski companies all over the world. Some did not even bother to respond to my emails, some were cool and honest in saying no, which is fine too, but Faction actually tried to make something work even though I'm pretty sure they didn't really need anyone at the time. In the end it didn't work for various reasons, but Beanie, who I was in contact with, was super chill, and tried to make something work.

I ended up interning for an online retailer instead of a manufacturer, but I can tell you every time someone would ask me for advice, I would push a Faction product over any other brand if possible. (And their skis are dope too).

So yeah, my pick is definitely Faction, with a digital marketing position, since that's my field of study.
