Ski Sizing

Bump, I would also like to know the answer to this question. I'm the exact same size (5'11" and 160) wondering if a 186 full rocker pow ski is too big. I've never owned/skied pow skis, I can get a bangin' deal on 186 Volkl Ones.

rockySMDrossIm about 6 foot and weigh somewhere around 150-160. I usually ski a 179 volkl step in the park then a 185 full camber sixth sense in the pipe. And a chopstick for pow. I am an expert skier. I can get a sweet deal on a 193 helldorado or patron whichever i choose. would either of those be too big?

If you're an expert skier you should be able to get away with 193cm due to the rocker but it will be pushing it. They won't be the easiest to maneuver and make quick little turns on but they will be good for going fast and charging. What are you primarily wanting to use the ski for? If it's tight skiing like in tight trees and stuff 193cm probably gonna be to long, but if you're using as more of a charging ski then it should be good.

For you a fully rockered (the Volkl's have a significant amount of rocker) 186cm ski should be fine at 180cm (5'11) provided you're a capable skier.

I do alot of hard fast skiing but i do like getting in the tight trees also

If you getting the skis massively cheaper then what they usually go for then I'd go ahead and get the 193cm they should work fine. But if they're only a little bit cheaper then usual I'd say try find something just a bit shorter as they will be better in tight trees.
