I'm really hoping that this isn't true, and that I get to delete this thread.... but Its not looking that way.

Mr. Auclair, you truly were the inspiration of a generation. You changed everything about my life that first time I saw a backflip Mute in an old poorboyz movie.

More than any other figure, you were someone that made me into the man I am today. You were a great person, a great friend and a great role model for skiers throughout the generations.

You will be dearly missed.

Skiing history just died, both were legends. I always loved JP Auclair, his dub backies were the nicest. Andreas was sick, looked happy as fuck in the webisodes with Jakob Wester just doing lines. Such a shame they went like this...

Some of my earliest memories when it comes to freesking include mr. auclair being the man and shredding it. if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have the love for skiing like I do today. Thanks buddy for all you've done and you've truly inspired all.

The ski world took a heavy blow today. Rip jp and Andreas. Jps street segment was one that really blew me away and stood out in all.i.can. A legend in the ski world and not the news I needed to hear. SIP to two legends.

First and foremost RIP to both and let's remember they have friends and family who are now left with the burden of continuing on after their loved ones have left.


unfortunately in this game the risks are high and these two guys knew as well as anyone... But it's still far far too soon.


Jp was one of the first names I "knew" when getting into skiing... I mean what a fucking legend. He was doing stuff almost 20 years ago that I can't do now. Unfortunately their lives are over but celebrate what they did we will.

If there's one point of solace remember that pretty much any time anyone does anything freestyle wise on skis its probably in some way because jp auclair was born. Seriously helped pave the way for how thinga are now with some others obviously.

I keep thinking about a friend of mine who once walked up to JP and simply said, "you are the reason I started skiing". I feel like there are a lot of people who are in the same boat.

Saw the news and watched the All.I.Can street segment one last time. Started tearing up once I saw him throw his signature mute 3. It will take me a while to accept that his time is over. What a legend. I am not sure there is a better word to describe him. SIP.

JP was the type of skier that even if you weren't into freestyle you'd still watch his videos or come across them, I remember over hearing racers and average weekend skiers talking about his street segment in complete awe at what he'd done, he's definitely one of the first guys I knew about when I started skiing.

He'll be truly missed.
