Looking for BC gear / (touring)

Hi all,
looking to get more into touring this winter as I've moved out to Colorado from Oregon...
Im used to heavier snow, and avalanches in the PNW aren't at all on the same scale as they are out in CO...
I have some Salomon Rocker 2's (115's) with STH 12's as my bindings...I'm used to a lot PR and hiking to some of the best NW in and out of bound terrain when it comes to powdaskiing, but I really don't think that I can go into the mountains here with that same confidence with my gear and knowledge... For all of you who know the type of terrain here, and know what one needs to have a good time, let me know what and hopefully at a cheap cost!! (i'll buy used shit), THANKS!

Also I didn't mean this as a buying thread, I'm mainly trying to see if any of you can lay it out for me for the terrain and type of equipment I need here.

You can get all the gear in the world but knowing how to use the tools and knowledge are very different things. Get your transceiver, probe and shovel and learn how to use them. Call your local avi center and look into the fall classes. They will have years of collective insight to the local conditions and people that would love to pass that stoke on. Knowledge is power!
