Massive anti-Beijing protests underway. 2017 candidates for election all chosen by Beijing government (as the agreements have always called for) and Hong Kong citizens are protesting in massive numbers. Students seem to be leading this, and police have already used pepper spray and tear gas.
I'm wondering if the Beijing government will take this as an opportunity to repress the (fairly) free people of Hong Kong in a stunt that garners popularity in the same fashion as what happened in Tiananmen Square.
Thoughts NS?
