Its that time of the year again. Time to get new gear. I am 5' 5" and 116 pounds. I wanna get a 172 Fatypus L- Toro and I was wondering 1. if it fits me? (I like my skis at about my forehead) 2. Does it hold up well on big jumps? I know that its an extremely playful and buttery ski but I also wanna know if it holds its own on bigger jumps
5'5 = 165cm so the L Toro's will be a bit longer then you (won't be at your forehead). 172cm should be handleable because they have rocker if you are a good skier but it would really be pushing it and really wouldn't be ideal.
At your size and weight it will have no problems at all on big jumps and there is no chance that you will be able to overpower the ski.
Are you set on the L-Toro? Why not look at other skis that have shorter lengths, what are you looking for in a ski?
