Who else is stoked? Hour and a half to go and I've got my pre order on iTunes locked in. Just preemptively making this thread for when the movie comes out. Hope it lives up to the expectations.

I went to the premier of less in Denver and I also went to the premier of partly cloudy last year. Both movies were so ill...I think partly cloudy's premier had more stoke and Wesson's hammers were out of this world, but
I liked the movie more when I saw it on my computer for the second time. I feel like it will be the same when I watch less tonight, the movie was sick for sure at the premier but I'm hoping to enjoy it more when I can focus on whats going on in the movie instead of the hot skier girls and the pros and the safety meetings and having way too much fun...I think its going to blow my mind all over again...hype.

the delorme shot in the trailer got me pumped, but he only had like 5 shots.

This movie got way better the second time I watched it. There's a lot of progressive urban and the soundtrack is great. Overall, I would probably rank it as better than party cloudy but not as good as sunny.

Joke? Easily one of the top 3 movies this year. Magnus gets buck, Khai goes hard (his opening shot is fucking impressive), everyone slays, and LSM "skates" a bowl on skis (among other amazing feats of skiing). Less won't disappoint.

Definitely a flick worth buying, LSM KHAI MAGNUS and both WILL's kills it.

Sadly, the only time I said "wow" to myself during the movie was probably Khai's opening shot. Good movie nonetheless, but nothing special

not a massive fan of the editing, also i hated the soundtrack for the first half of the film, didnt really do justice to the skiing, it wasnt till khais part that i started to enjoy it much more

i'll watch it again tonight

Less was really good. I saw it at iF3, and it was easily one of my top 5 films this year. Khai's segment was so good too.

I went to the premiere in Salt Lake and was kind of disappointed. I will admit I was drunk, I think I showed up late. But John Ware took a swig from my flask which is cool!

I per-ordered the DVD so I guess we will see when it comes in the mail. Regardless Level 1 is the shit.

there's so much good skiing (big ups to all of the skiers, you guys fucking KILLED it), and it's all ruined by being in a Level 1 movie.

there are so many fucking parts. I guess nobody over there has ever heard of guest shots before, or the sponsors are paying big bucks for their riders to have their own parts. Banks and Logan (just to pick on two) did not deserve their own intros and songs. Their shots could have easily been worked into someone else's part, or thrown in some "friends" section, significantly improving the flow of the movie.

None of the parts have any progression either. None of the songs have any buildup or finale to highlight any crazy tricks, and so most of the parts just seem like sort of a flat constant "this is kind of impressive." instead of starting with a banger, sprinkled with really great stuff throughout, and then with some sort of coda at the end that blows you away.

The music supervision is awful. As I said, none of the songs have any buildup or progression, creating a real lack of excitement in the parts as they go along. Also, they just suck. The song from Magnus' part might be the only song worth listening to or downloading in the whole movie (or any level 1 production for the last 4 years)

After 15 years, nobody at level 1 can use a fisheye yet. The stuff that I assume Shane McFalls filmed of Will Wesson in Japan is the only proper fisheye footage in the movie. Everything else either has some weird pan at the end or is just wrong. (Sig's shot on the blue ball??? So damn close. That pan to the snow at the end ruined it. LSM's nollie 360 over the bench? You can't even see the bench by the end of the shot, which is the whole reason people film fisheye.) I mean for god's sake, "fisheye" is one of the words in the collage at the beginning. (Which also includes "derp," "shiba inu," and "ermagherd." Seriously?)

Once again, I want to reiterate that the skiing was AMAZING. Some of the stuff really blew me away and was stuff I have wanted to see in skiing for a long time. The filming was mediocre at best, though, and the editing and included processes were bad.

Seriously this. What the fuck were they thinking when they put that song in there? I mean I guess maybe they did it to be funny but it was just so shitty. Easily the worst song choice hahaha.

overall i liked the movie but i think level 1 is shooting themselves in the foot with how long their movies are and the shitty soundtrack. Some of the heaviest jib segments ever in there, khai magnus and berman really put it down...but it was almost overshadowed by halfassed pow segments and whack songs for the most part

I was disappointed by the lack of Delorme as well. One of the most enjoyable skiers to watch IMO

It was my favorite one yet. I liked the lack of big names, the quirky soundtrack and the "lesser quality" y'all are bitching about. It had such a fun, low key vibe and really embraced what skiing is all about. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and were skiing like they want to ski. Magnus, Sig, LSM, Shay and Banks fucking killed it, so did everyone else, but those were my favorites. It made me happy that the more well known riders had shorter segments and the movie focused more on the new guys

as a whole the movie was unimpressive. skiing was pretty good overall but losing guys like Wallisch, Bdog, Henrik, Chris Logan, Parker, Ahmet, Liam etc.. takes a pretty hefty toll on the quality of skiing in a movie.
