Replying to Worst Injury You've Witnessed

Kind of like the falling thread, but what kind of crazy injuries have you witnessed while skiing. A couple of years ago I was behind these 3 kids on a quad in Telluride and they were messing around playing without the bar down, and sure enough the kid sitting on the outside reached too far and fell off (the drop had to be at least 35 ft high: Chair 4 in telluride above the park) onto hard packed snow. Everyone was yelling and the kid was limp on the ground and patrol got him on a sled and out of there. We found out the next day from a patroller we rode the lift with that the kid was ok and was lucky enough to only break his ankles I believe, but could've been a lot worse off if he fell off axis. Have you guys seen crazier injuries?
