Discounted Helmets?

Hey there NS,
I figured this would be the place to ask. But here's my problem, 2 seasons ago I purchased a Large K2 rant, either my head has shrunken or the padding has packed out significantly. I tried it on with goggles and beanie etc this week and it was far too huge on my head. I went and tried on some new helmets and the Medium Smith Maze is the PERFECT fit for me. I assume like most of us here money isn't the biggest thing we have to spoil ourselves with and was hoping to find anyone with a hookup of sorts? I would love any help! I'd rather not have an unsafe helmet for this season.

Check out http://www.geartrade.com/. Backcountry often sell returned items for cheap even though its just the packaging that damaged or whatever.

Sounds odd but you can get some cheap, get high quality head helmets from cosco for 40$ off retail.

I won a helmet in a ski competition last year (first place :) My old helmet is a medium bern watts carbon fiber. Ill hook someone up if they are in utah. you can see me wearing it in the second episode of they see me trollin

If you "don't want an unsafe helmet" then don't buy a used helmet. It may have had an impact which can significantly hinder its protective capabilities even if there is no visible damage. Your best bet is finding a helmet on sale. Maybe a year old model. I got a cheap helmet last spring because it was late season but it may not be much option since it's now getting close to the start of ski season. Check evo and other sites for leftover stock from last year, may still be discounted.
