TallxTI would like to see better options for choosing thumbnails for videos we upload to NS. We get 6 choices that are all from the first 30seconds of the video and that hardly ever works, especially for me. If we could upload our own or choose from any point in the video that would be so awesome.

Paul.MarikIt would be great if we could upload our own thumbnails. A planned thumbnail could attract more views than a vague representation of the video from the few snapshot options we're currently allowed.
TotallyTrevorWasn't there an "upload a thumbnail" option at one point? I think I remember reading how to do it like a year or two ago, but I either never figured it out, or it never existed, or I never figured it out and now it's gone

w_skierWhat's the point of not allowing normal people to use them, they are probably the people who could benefit from them the most. If I see a video uploaded by purple/orange/red names ill watch it anyways cause they are usually good
nutz.should just be open to everyone... it's not an issue of exclusivity it's something everyone could benefit from haha
zbphotoWhile we're on the topic, if you could adjust the square crop for photos, half the time the skier doesn't even end up in the preview frame since it just grabs the centre.

.otto.i recently posted a video and theres a sick still of me nutting a rail that i wanted as a thumbnail. i chose it selected it and saved my changes. however whenever i check the video its still the original thumbnail even tho i uploded my own and selected it and saved my edit changes
Mr.BishopEither it was broken with the update or it needed time to cycle the cache.
Check again today and and let me know if the change magically worked or not.

.otto.heres how its not working
so after i edit it, on the side where it says ottos videos in the little icon, it has the correct thumbnail of me falling, but if you go to the homepage,( after refreshing and all) and i made sure to save my changes its still the original thumbnail
