Does anyone else feel like the emo/'hard rock' styles of music promote suicide through empty lyrics that anyone can understand and relate to? I was watching tv and channel surfing and I wound up on MTV cuz there's nothing else on and they had the rock hour or some shit like that. At any rate all the songs they played lacked instrumental and lyrical complexity to the point of truly aggravating me. The lyrics were so hollow, damn. I can see why people who listen to that shit get it stuck in their head that they are nothing. Throw away the Linkin Park and the psuedo-anarchy patches on your clothes and listen to some damn Grateful Dead. But thats just my take.
