Shreditor 112 length opinion

Sup guys. I'm a 6'2" guy, 170 pounds and looking to buy the 2015 K2 Shreditor 112. I'm an advanced skier that likes to charge on groomers and moguls, but appreciate to take it more relax on those rares powder days we've got on the east coast.
So, here's the dilemma : pick up the 179cm or the 189cm? Basically, I already have a good pair of skis that I use most of the time, and was looking for a playfull powder ski that I can maneuver through tight trees, hit some cliffs and stuff like that.
With all that in mind, i'm leaning toward the 179cm, which I know is short (I ski on a 184cm ski normaly), but is it too short? I'm just afraid de 189cm will be too cumbersome for what I want to do with those skis. On the other hand, will I have enough flotation on the 179cm to have fun in deep snow?
Let me know what you think!
Thanks a bunch

just take note that they measure to about 182 and 192 respectively. If it were me I'd go 189, although I've always wished k2 has a size in between as I love skis around 185-188 so I get the dilemma.

Just picked up the 189's haven't skied em yet but they definitely run long. I am 6'1" 175lbs and have loved skis around the 185 mark as well. The 189's seem dope though! a lot of rocker and taper so I expect them to ski a little short, the flex feels just about perfect and honestly they seem like just about the perfect ski for me. At an inch taller and 5lbs lighter than me I would probably push you toward the 189's as well but judging from my 179 hell bents the 179's shouldn't be terribly short

179 better for trees, 189 better for cliffs. They are K2s so they will be like about 185 and 195 respectively if compared to other brands because K2 measures after shaping. I am a little shorter and probably a little lighter than you and I ride 179 K2 Obsetheds. I love them, they are perfect for me, but if I was only skiing big lines (cliffs, spines, no technical trees/bumps) I'd go 189.
It's close for you, I personally would probably go 189 as I almost did for myself, but you said you like to relax on pow days so maybe you'd prefer shorter. I ski very aggressively.
If your 184s are not K2 I guess you could go with the 179s because they'll be the same as your non-K2 184s. If your 184s are K2 you probably want to go 189 because going lower on pow days doesn't make sense, you should go longer if anything.
tl;dr 189s are ideal, the 179s will be a little short for you, but the 179s will still float well and be playful and fun, they'll work fine.

My dads gonna be riding on the 179cm from last year when he comes out west. I have it with me, measured it twice and its a 180.75cm...The shreditor 102 179 however is 183.5cm so it varies how long they run. I know the 181 coomback is as long as my 188 pbjs lol.
OP Id go for the 189 if its your powder ski and your other ski is a 184. K2 skis measure long, but dont ski long, there super easy to engage because theyre on the softer side of medium and have ton of tip rocker, even in the "All terrain rocker". I loved the obsethed in 189, it was easy to ski but also could charge a bit due to the length.
The only reason to go with the 179cm, would be if you ski a lot of trees and/or your mountain gets pretty bumped out and you still wanna have a ton of fun. K2 skis are damp, so they dont get as squirrely as youd think when hand flexing them.
