youngblooddI don't know, is paying $92 bucks for a cotton hoodie that cost $3 to make still in?

kamron_708Sad to see, but the industries seperate themselves. Newer companies like edoggo, ehoto, and similar are selling well. Theyre sponsoring young riders who give tons of exposure
bmaze91I'm just waiting to see how everyone feels after they see Delorme fully in the new Jiberish outerwear...
gnarballsianmThe days of jibberish for skiers are over for sure, there stuff is pretty exspensive and for guys like myself, it's easier to overlook a super exspensive hoodie, hat or T and buy cheaper just as quality stuff. With the new advant of small attire companies arising all over the place, especially in ski/ outdoor oriented communities it easy to find sick new companies with low priced outerwear."Just as quality" you have no idea what you're missing.
J-DunnJiberfish has been dead to me for years. Yes they still make edits I suppose. But that shit they make. Quality went down simplicity went up. Price went up. And omg that fucking style. if I see someone whereing jiberfish now in days I just automatically assume they suck a lotta cock. And yes I mean that literally !!!
NPRMI emailed them about their athlete page and they are bringing it back, just taking a bit of time
gabeskiIt is up, we have a few more tweaks that we were waiting on, but would rather push early so you guys can enjoy:
http://www.jiberish.com/pages/team
No excuse, this was on me and I have been collecting team photos and videos for each athlete's page for a while now. Should be no reflection of our involvement (or perceived lack there of) in skiing, we have just been focusing on getting the website up and running smoothly. Now that we are in a good spot, I have been working on adding pages lately like music and yes the team page. We are hyped on the new look and function and hope everyone else is too.
Our customers can choose to stop supporting us as a brand and that is fine, it doesn't bother us because everyone should choose a style that fits them. Jiberish will never stop supporting skiing though, it is our roots and what we do on the weekends together. That said we do not make skis, boots, goggles or anything mandatory to do the sport so our influences, opportunities and market is bigger than just skiing. Yes, we are pushing our clothing to boutiques and blogs that are clothing based in hopes that it educates a new consumer about our sport and in hopes that their introduction to skiing is through seeing our edits and our team. We feel our team and our edits are a strong representation of our sport. This is why we will always push video edits on our site, skiing images on Instagram, support video production companies, share athlete videos on Facebook and have a team page on our site.
Sorry for the ramble but this is important to us and as the person I quoted found from emailing us, it was never the plan to remove this page so sorry for the delay.

ChinchiHonestly who are they marketing to now? They lost the park ski community, we can all agree on that. They are now targeting trend-whore hype beasts, but that market is already completely over saturated, and with brands that are far more affordable or have the brand name to back them up. Maybe Jiberish should start advertising on /r/streetwear or Kanyetothe.com forums. I wish I could just cop a sick sweater for skiing or a big ass dope vest but those days are over

CashmereCatI have the latest blacklist hoodie and I can assure you it must've cost more than 3 dollars to make. That is the nicest hoodie I have ever owned.
CashmereCat"Just as quality" you have no idea what you're missing.
ObeseBunnySure the market is saturated, but they key to be being successful in a market like that is do something different - and jiberish is doing a great job at that. How many companies do you know that have made 20k waterproof streetwear? Maybe Visvim? I can't think of a single company combining such functionality with the look of something you'd wear out on the town.
StoseI too have last years blacklist hoodie. Is it the nicest hoodie ive owned? yes. best quality of a jiberish sweatshirt ive ever had? yes. Worth the extra money? not even close. Id take my a la mode any day. I don't need my sweatshirt to have tripple seams and side ribbing and 50 gm cotton or whatever they are doing with it. It needs to have a slim, slightly tall fit, and be a sweatshirt. Id much rather pay 70-80 for my older jiberish than 100 for the new. The quality isn't remote worth the price increase.
godhatesfigsHere's the APC bomber they based theirs off of. It costs over $400
[tk]Why though? the materials used? Wal-mart could make the same thing with cheaper materials and sell it for $35. And thats expensive for Wal-mart.
Don't get me wrong, Jiberish is my #1 favorite brand and I appreciate that they are selling some quality stuff for cheaper than other streetwear brands. It just bothered me how Pete said in that other thread that, to compare the hoodies from 09 or earlier with their hoodies now is laughable. I disagree. My 09-10 hoodies are my all time favorite pieces from them. To compare it with my blacklist hoody I got, it's not even a question which I like better. Their old sweatshirts had that signature material that I haven't ever seen in anything else. Hard to explain, it's just an awesome fabric that I wish they still used. The tag on the hood, the custom "J" zipper pulls, the drawstring tags, the polyester ribbing that doesn't pill. Those are just features, I'm not even gonna get into the differences in graphics because I know it has been talked about so much on here. When it comes to fit, the ribbing is nice and tight, and it's much baggier overall which is what I like. My blacklist one is suuper slim, more slim than any normal sweatshirt. The fabric honestly feels to me more like a normal sweatshirt, even though I know its a much "nicer," heavier material. I got a pair of their $85 sweats a week or so ago and the quilted stitching(cosmetic) was coming apart the first day. They also threw in waterproof pocket zips on em for no good reason, which i have to carefully pull with two hands so i don't wear the fabric. So no, I don't think it's laughable at all to compare what they made then to today.
No matter what though, I still get that Jiberish "high" the first week I wear any of their pieces. Their sweats are the coziest things I've ever worn. They will continue to be favorite company. Much love to them.

godhatesfigsWal-mart's suppliers can't reproduce this jacket and others in that price range. There are elements of construction for this stuff like cutting, darting, stitching, etc that create the fit of the jacket that would be difficult and expensive to add to a factory. Just look at the gap GQ stuff... say you got one of the John Elliott hoodies, since we are talking about hoodies alot here thats a good example. It's about half the the price of the real thing. It's the same at first glance but truthfully it doesnt fit the same, drape the same, fade and break in the same, or last as long. Now those things might not be terribly important to you when you buy it and that's fine, but if you went with the more expensive version you would probably start to notice and appreciate these small details that really make it a different/better product.
