They call it a Texas suitcase or an Oklahoma handbag and it is the ONLY way to look like a full blown gaper and impress the lady folk....that's my go to for pulling tail.

If you need to watch an instructional video on how to not be a gaper, then you're a gaper.
If you weren't a gaper, you'd just know how to carry your stuff.

It doesn't really matter though cause this thread is going to be deleted and that guy is gonna get BANHAMMERED!!!!

That is honestly my first time ever seeing what they call the oklahoma suitcase.

They missed one though, I frequently use the drag but with one ski in each hand holding on by the toepiece.

That isnt a texas suitcase, maybe a modified texas suitcase though.

Yes, that method will work wonderfully if you want to have both skis banging against eachother constantly (read extra top coat damage) or if you want both your hands to be full. For the love of god if you cant boot up at the car, sling a pair of skis over your shoulders and have a backpack on how the fuck do you manage to actually ski down the mountain? Even if you dont boot up you sling the boots over the opposite shoulder. Its not a hard concept.

At the mountain I work at EVERYONE has backpacks. Now there's some real nice backcountry when the snow is there but I'm talking people just cruising. A ton of them in the park.

I don't always lap the park all day, but when I do, I prefer to wear a giant overweight backpack.

Also some of the epic filming I see. There's a trail along the main park and there will be people "follow camming" way too far away on the ridge almost skiing off the ledge into the park struggling to make turns. People with the selfie angle side jumping the whole park. Def seeing some quality stuff.

The suitcase can actually be pretty helpful when boot packing through deep pow on a moderate incline when you don't have a pack. Helps ya keep above the snow as well as keep your poles and skis contained while stepping.

I once saw a gaper go off a small jump and mid air his phone fell out of his helmet. Evidently he was talking on the phone while skiing.
