If you really want the tram go for it, otherwise the chairs are going to be just fine. The tram gets packed on any sort of powder day. You'll have a blast just lapping the lifts and as soon as mineral basin opens you can head over to the Peruvian side. Even better if you hear the basin's opening lap Peruvian which has also has some great goods!
