Snow the game vs. Shredsauce

Shredsauce = One dude spending his free time making a game in Unity for very little material return.

Snow = Whole team of professional game developers and engineers making a game on Cryengine.

Can't really compare the two.

Shredsauce is great for a quick little play at school or something, Snow is good for long plays at home. Just appreciate the fact that people are spending their time making skiing games for us to play, no point in saying one is better than the other.

Shredsauce is available on a mac. Snow isn't. So...

snow is about to become a free t play game. I don't see how shredsauce can top it after that (not that it ever did)

Neither are a sim.

Sounds crazy but shredsauce to me has better gameplay. The rails are 10x more fun.

Once Snow has full features it week be sick. Rails are still sketch but the park building feature should be sweet once it's done.

IMO- Snow kinda sucks.You can tell it was developed by people with little to no park skiing experience. The visuals are really good, but when it comes down to the nitty-gritty, actual tricks are pretty much impossible, since you shifty every singe spin or flip, making it really hard to judge your rotation, and usually looks pretty bad when you cant do a clean spin under 7 without your guy doing a triple shifty in the air. And rails, we just wont talk about them.

But when it comes to exploring riding the mountain 1st person- holy shit, its so much fun.

Side note: People keep asking when the game will come to mac, I dont think you realize your mac wont even be able to run the game on lowest settings at 15 fps.
I have a mid-level gaming laptop (i7, 8gig ram, Nvidia gt630) and the most I can get out of it on low settings is 35-45 fps. (It used to be better, until the put some new cryengine update on it, and now it looks shitty)

I think that snow is to complex. Shredsauce is a basic skiing game. Its simple and you can create your own levels. I play both games but snow is very slow on my computer. But I think that with the new m4 update the game is greatly improved (Like the rail game).
