Let's be honest, we all (or at least the most die-hard of us) get caught by our parents hanging out in our rooms wearing all our outerwear as we wait for snow to fall. For the past two past couple seasons there's been 2 awesome threads full of pictures of fully-clothed skiers indoors and bonus points if you can snag a pic of your parents in your tall gear. Upvote others gear and share your own! Go get out that gear from the closet. I'll go first:
also this might be a repost because most years someone makes one wayy too early but its getting to be that time! mods delete if it is
I started skiing last year, and I wanted to get better at it, so I put in a lot of work to strengthen up and lost 70 pounds in the process since last year. This meant I had to buy a new wardrobe, and I also had replace the outerwear I just got last year. It's expensive, but I'm really thankful to have lost the weight as it is something I've struggled with in my life, and I have to thank skiing for playing a big part in it.
I ordered this Quantum jacket, and I really enjoy it, but I wish it was two inches longer, so I'm not sure if I will keep it or not.
If I return it, I'm looking at stuff from Armada, Flylow's Quantum Pro [2 inches longer than this one for some reason, not big on their colors though, and more expensive], and I'm also toying with the idea of something from NWT3K [I appreciate their business approach, and their fit looks good]. I might try to just make this jacket work though for money considerations since I've spent so much on clothes already.
monarch xxl saga, with fd wear v4 black and grey pants. new kitten factory rayzrbladz and fks 140. soon buying boots that fit well, not just a pair of full tilts lol
ya man ive actually had them for a year now and have ridden them a bit. ive taken them around, attempted to jib on them (when my shins werent hurting, but hopefully they wont hurt this year) ,and taken them backcountry. ive just tried to take really good care of them. they actually have some topsheet chipping and sidewall dings, but you cant see them in the pic. they kill it everywhere, super poppy, super fun ski even with my 10000lb touring bindings that i have mounted on em.
JuicyElbowzyeah, hes the only one who doesnt look like a fucking loser
Were all talking about this kid right? The one with the outerwear that fits/is too small? With the goggles over the helmet? Where am I TGR? I thought this was newschoolers...
