Is ios 8 laggy for anyone else?

just like the past few iOS updates, they are built around the latest phone which has the fastest computing power. The older, weaker devices won't be as optimized for it as the latest (6)

Got ios8 today and it put 20Gb's of "other" on my phone which won't go away. This was after many errors occurred forcing me to restore it three times.

if your phone is synced with a computer, download it on the computer first, that way you don't have to delete anything off your phone

Well the way photos are organized now is stupid. There's no just normal album of them all. It's either recent, or you have to browse the stupid collections thing.

Also, you can't seem to ever access all your photos changing the wallpapers. It's only the albums recent, then like Instagram and stuff. So if you want a non recent photo I guess you have to go to it and change it.

Im on a 5s as well. Just updated earlier today and it was a bit buggy for me in certain places. Make sure all your apps are updated in the app store because the moment I did that everything started running smoother. I restarted the phone as well.

The 5s is a great phone with iOS 7 and it works so well I can't believe its already a year old. I believe that it'll have more then enough power to work iOS 8 in the days to come

Any lag is just an unfortunate product of Apple's system. Apple develops new hardware, then upgrades the OS to maximize the new hardware, and as a result older phones experience some issues. Most are ironed out in the next patch which is probably only a couple months out.

how does this work ? You just plug the phone into the computer and download the update to 8 while it's connected ?
