Tom wallisch is going to Line, it will be revealed in the next Line Traveling circus episode. That's why he's down in australia (from instagram), where the rest of the LTC team is.

SMH. There probably isn't a single company in the ski industry who couldn't pull together the funds to pay someone like Tom. He's a guaranteed seller of product.

MinggYou don't have to compete to be considered successful. A lot of skiers hate competition even though they are more than capable to compete.


Skiers who don't compete barely will make a dollar from their sponsors to be honest... Unless of course you are backcountry

Here's a conversation to consider:

Josh: Sure buddy, I'll send some right over.

or even, Tom walks into a shop in Australia, shop is stoked just to see him there, shop gives him skis, Tom then goes to hardware store and gets spray paint.

You all forget, this is Tom Wallisch, if he needs skis, he'll get skis, it doesn't necessarily mean he's riding for them. There's a decent chance that there are several companies still in play for him. I heard there's one that's made the biggest play first, but certainly any company would love to have him on their team, and now that he's a "free agent" there's probably a ton of companies getting in contact with him about signing. I mean, if he's already signed a contract, don't you think the company would want him to announce that ASAP since we're in prime ski purchasing season?

You may be right, but you're guessing as much as anyone else. There is no good reasoning behind not releasing his free agent status to the public. He could say that he's shopping around for sponsors, and lose nothing. A media blackout like this is interesting, because it probably means that there is some sort of NDA in place. I'm sure Tom understands that his fans want to know who he is skiing for, and would tell us if he could.

Jardin has already made a lot of money off of Tom. Look how many of his pro model boots they have been able to sell over the past few years. Can't tell you how many we've gone through here at the store.

For those of you who say the money is not there with Line. look up Jardin and look at how many products that you use everyday are owned by them. The money is there for the right person. and the right product.

I think its also fair to say Tom is probably the most marketable athlete in skiing currently. And he sells product. This isn't a Line or FT question about who to hook up with gear. It's a whole lot bigger than that. Its a business decision. Successful companies usually make the right decisions.

For now everyone will have to sit back and relax for a bit.

Whamsticks though. I like that ski name. good job NS.

Also, Wallisch does a lot of competitions. What would he ski on that would be good for huge jumps and rails like the ones that they have at the x games?

You do realize that Jardin brands has the largest ski/snowboard prototype/production facility in the US in house. I've seen it. Its impressive. They can take a ski from concept, cut the mold, and have a physical ski in hand in 48 hours if they want. They regularly prototype and build one off skis. remember all skis/boards are prototyped and spec'd here in the US. The specs are then sent to China for the production runs. Making him a special one would be cake.

Chronic would be a great comp ski though.

My guess is he is or will be skiing Future Spins on the Line Team. Or he's on Future Spin V2's. It's a similar ski to the Jib TW.

If Line makes him a pro model, it will be sold to thousands of 12 year olds, giving Line a well needed boost. So saying that Line cant afford him is stupid, because the investment will pay itself out, trust me
