In Need of Pow Ski

Howdy newschoolers.

Been a while since I've posted.. been a bit MIA for a while.

But I'm on the market for a pow ski. I'm 6' 180lbs. I already have a pair of Line Chronic Cryptonites at 92mm center so my all mountain ski is covered.

I'm looking for an all-mountain POW ski with some rocker. As for my skiing style, I dont ski switch often, but am looking for a light playful ski that can still charge. I'll only be using this for days with 1ft+ of fresh, but would appreciate a ski that can rock cruddy midwest conditions as well.

also, for price, I would like to keep the cost of planks under $450 if possible but if needed will go a bit over.

188 4frnt CRJ sound good for you. Playful directional pow ski. Can still hande the groomers good too if the snow ain't too hard.

187 4frnt YLEs, camber underfoot, and nice rocker in the tips and tails. Good flex. Yours for only $200 bucks!

Are you looking for an ALL-MTN pow ski, or looking for one that you only take out of 1ft+ days? Those are two very different things.

I'll be using this ski for when I go out west to Jackson or Snowbird not guarenteed deep pow but usually enough) and the times in the midwest when we get 1ft of snow. I already have my all mountain ski at 92mm, so I would be using this for primarily powder. (usually 1ft, infrequently more but owuld like something that could still handle more).

I had my hands on a pair of ON3P Wrenegade 102 in 186. They seem super sick. Directional and they also make it in a 112 under foot as well.

I use my bacons as an every day ski in Ohio and they do great on everything from crappy man made to 20" west coast pow. They do like to flex in the tip and tail and are decently shorter than advertised. I have 179's and they are 172 on their tippy toes. Hope it helps!

Orange FKS and an instructor coat? Probably haha, just upped my game this year with 192 Opus'

Evo has some great powder skis. Specifically 4frnt. Last year (2013-2014) skis are super marked down. I suggest getting the devastation even though it is considered a all mtn ski. It is wide enough for pow at tip last of 135 I think. So 1+ ft of snow should be fine. Also the devastator is good for park. I ski specifically the switchblade from 4frnt but the devastation is also great. If you want to go all out pow I suggest getting the CRJ because it is for powder but less expensive than the Wiley. Also where do you ski? If you live in Tahoe don't even bother because there is not pow this last two seasons and is expected the same this year, lol
