I wear Full Tilt Seths as thats what my boot fitter pulled off the shelf and told me to wear. I have fully custom footbeds and he told me to try skiing with and with out them. I will never ski without the footbeds again.

My footbeds were about 200.

The boots are definitely a little looser without the beds.

So you can buy regular footbeds or get then custom made by measuring your foot?

I can;t find any boot fitters here in Rhode Island.

Any boot fitter who does not recomend a full custom footbed is no a boot fitter in my eyes. You simple can not fit a boot well without first aligning the foot.

Full tilt are a little harder to fit as they use the wrap liner. Having foam under the foot is about the worst thing possible to get a solid fit. It's like building the foundation of a house on sand. You may get it straight at first but thing are going to move. When you get the footbeds made the fitter should remould the liner to attemp to get the footbed to sink into the liner. Footbed wise I would only recomend sidas and boot dr. But the most important part in gettin a good footbed is finding a good fitte to make them. If your limite for fitters maybe wait until you go to a resort to ski. Generally resorts will have decent fitters.

On the topic of footbeds. .......I bought custom footbeds in 1993. ...yeah 21 years ago. They were from Peterson Laboratories. They were like 180 bucks then. Im still using them! I use Full Tilts now and Raichles all through the 90's. The footbeds will mold right into the liners. Seriously the best money you'll ever spend. I ski about 50 to 75 days a year.....every year since ive bought them. Up front its a hard expense to eat. But well worth it long term.
