Boot Showdown

After going to my local bootfitter (a friend) I have widdled my search for boots down to four pairs. I am looking at the Nordica TJS Pro, the Fischer Vacuum Ranger Pro 13, the Full Tilt B&E, and the Atomic Overload. All of the boots felt relatively good on my feet stock and I'm sure will fit perfectly with help from a bootfitter. I ski park a lot and do a bit of back country and really want a boot that fits well, won't kill my feet, will last for a while and will kill it in all conditions. Thanks to some sweet deals they are all around the same price. Any personal recommendations or recommendations from other bootfitters would be excellent.

Dont get the fischers if you are going to be skiing where it gets cold i had a pair and they are like a sock they don't keep you warm at all! like seriously i got frostbite worst boots for cold pretty comfortable though oh and if it was cold enough you had to wait forever to take them off because they freeze solid but yeah good boot other from that

Well I would personally discount the Fischer I fid they lack torsional stiffness in the clog due to the nature of the shell. As for the others they are good options. All differnt last though. You have a 99, 100 an 101 with lateral live fit. Instep wise and heel they are alightly differnt too. Which one ha the best overal shell fit? I thing to consider is the full tilt is goin to be te hardest to fit well due to the liner. When you get footbeds made you want a flat solid surface for the best results. Unfortunately this is hard to achieve in the full tilt. I have skied the overload and really like tem and I'm currently in waymakers. Other boots to consider may be the Lange rx and salomon x pros. Tey are both a 100 last so in the range of the boots you are looking at.

Thank you this is exactly what I was looking for. The full tilts were definitely a bit tighter but I thought that hear molding the liners would fix that.

It will help somewhat but it's gettin the footbeds in there that really helps the footbed will usually make your foot narrower an shorter an also put it into a position better suited to being in a ski boot.

The shell is the ultimate deciding and limiting factor. If the shell is too low volume/narrow for your foot, then it doesn't matter what liner is in there.
