ZachAndCheeseMy friends dad got a business degree and started up a ski club program. He'd organiza trips for them (hotel, transportation, equipment, tickets, etc.) He ended up making a shit ton of money and was paid to supervise (aka ski). Sold it and cashed out a few years ago and now owns a house on Whistler. Solid lifestyle.

PortskierWas it like a high school club or a private club open to whoever would pay for it?
theabortionatorThat's my kind of shit. I love the entrepreneurial spirit. If I had gone to school it would have been for business with a plan of doing my own thing. Kind of wish I had but made the right choice. School wasn't for me.
OP there are lot's of different options. Depends what you want to do, how much you want to make, how much you want to work, how much you want to ski. IT depends on your passion. Some people might love working all day in a shop making skis knowing that they're going to be loved by somebody and bring them joy everyday on the hill, some people want to make a little more loot, idk. Some people would rather make bank in "the real world" and then buy a ski house or take ski vacations. Depends on the person
This coming winter will be my 14th season working at mtns and I love it. It will be my 10th year working in terrain parks. I fucking love it. I'm never going to get rich doing it, but I LOVE IT. I'm directly involved in skiing, I can ski throughout the day, and I get to build the parks that I and everyone else get's to ride. I could slave away for days not even riding much and still be happy. I'm going to be doing this as long as I'm alive.
