Today I got asked to homeceoming. By a guy. Who is gay. Which is fine.

Is there any particular way I should act around him to not make him feel uncomfortable? I said yes. I just want him to have a good time. (I'm a guy also, but not gay).

You're going with a gay guy while you are straight, i can respect that a lot. Definitely let him know you are not gay. I've never been in your exact situation but just have fun like you were going with a bro.

On a side note i had a friend who lost a bet and had to go to our LGBT prom, i was hanging out with him and we weren't doing much so i went. I'm not very good at dancing but who cares and i was having fun when this very flamboyant kid (nothing wrong with that) starts dancing next to me, sees I'm not very good at dancing and tells me i "Just need to feel the rhythm going up my ass" multiple times. I did not want to have anything go up my ass, and so i was done dancing.

TL;DR: Go, let him know your not gay, have fun. Second paragraph is a funny story.

You shouldn't have said yes just because you felt like you were doing something good for someone, you should only have said yes if you genuinely wanted to go with him. Otherwise it seems like you pity him and said yes because you felt bad for him/uncomfortable saying no and that you're treating him like a charity case. You should probably be very clear with him about your intent and your boundaries.

I get your point but Homecoming isn't always about going with someone you want to sleep with... its about going and having fun. I went to many dances with girls as friends

I had a ski coach at one point named Kerry Lofy (you can google this story, it was on MTV.) For his senor prom, he was in kind of a similar situation. He felt bad for a gay kid who was being oppressed, so he asked him to his prom and dressed as a girl as a joke. Kerry is a strait dude. He may have taken it over the top, but he had a great sense of humor about it and helped out a friend. I would definitely consider this if I were you.
