I live in maryland and I have the line chronics. I am going to sugarloaf in the winter and wanted to know if i need to purchase a powder ski setup? I have an extra set of bindings. from all the videos it look like a decent bit of snow
No, you'll be fine on the Chronics. Sugarloaf is a sick east coast mtn with a lot going for it, but it doesn't get a ton of snow. Around 200 inches per year. To give you a comparison most Vermont resorts get around 300. Any snow they get up there you can handle in Chronics.
No, you definitely won't need to buy a powder setup just to come to Sugarloaf. Plenty of people rock Chronics up here, so unless you can coordinate with the weatherman to send the one storm a year when there's more than 8 inches of fresh don't worry about it.
