Wizerd13 with my parents as (cosigners I think its called) and it was basically my own account with my parent's oversight. Most of the time it only had like $30 in it, but it was nice for ordering things online and it gave my a sense of independence.
Jeebus.Fuck that, I'm 22 and i still refuse to get one, i hate owing people money.
That_One_kidJust signed up for my first credit card at the age of 21 to build up a credit score before I graduate college this spring. Have had a debit card for a long time but this is my first actual CREDIT card, so I ask you NS, when did you get your first one?
ONTerriibleBut in today's world you need one. You need a credit score for financing or renting a car, a mortgage for a house.
ONTerriiblePlus its good just to have incase an emergency. Unless you have a giant stack of cash hidden away somewhere

pussyfooterhaha i mean, I have my original I got through my bank, I got another one a couple years ago for buying some new gear for freelance and it didnt have interested on it for 6 mo which helped me out a ton and then about a year ago I got a Delta Amex. I only really use my amex a this point and my original one if I need to, I'll probably just keep the third in case of an emergency, its not really worth canceling a credit card it can look bad on your credit score.
congrossman.just picked it up 18 go bank of america
Wampireah man, ur that one kid that gets his credit card at 21

snowballsdeepsame here but its a debit card not a credit card having one for so long has defiantly helped me manage my money better. i have lasted 20 years with out a credit card, if i don't have the money to buy something, i don't buy it. its a crazy concept i know.

cornholioyeah but why not get a credit card? if you don't carry a balance you're still following the "if i don't have money to buy something i don't buy it". you can pay it off each month and get at least 1% back through rewards.
snowballsdeepbecause being as how I haven't started a career job yet my month to month income is inconsistent so i can't commit to spend so much per month. unless its like rent of course. hmmm i see.
