zzzskizzzThere was a funeral held for one of the teachers that died a town over form me. That really happened
.FRY.you're a sack of shit. anyone who doesn't think that the shooting really happened is a fucking dumbass.
Food_Stampswhen did I say the shooting never occurred??? lol are you saying the person in that video is not an actor? you're either insane or not paying close attention...
Food_Stamps......lol no shit it really happened. do you know the definition of the word 'conspiracy'?
or are you trying to say that the person in that video is not an actor?
Aidan-GSo to be clear you believe there were crisis actors but that the shooting happened?
Food_Stampspersonally, I believe there were interviewed actors(there is more than 1 video) and I believe that there actually was a shooting but won't rule out any other possibilities since there is not enough proof available to know indefinitely what occurred.
_DUSTY_"People mourn in many different ways, sometimes all at once. As a recent Scientific American article on gref noted, “oscillation between sadness and mirth repeated itself in study after study … Time and again, a grief-stricken person’s expression would change from dejection to laughter and back.” George Bonanno, a psychologist at Columbia University who studies grief, even developed a way to determine if this mourner’s laughter was genuine or merely a facade to hide grief — he determined that they “exhibited the real thing.” Scientists think this is part of our internal resilience mechanisms kicking in, because constant grief is simply too much for a person to handle."

"Q: Why do certain people not exhibit any grief patterns?
A: Up until recently, it hasn't really been known. Most investigators in the field, I think, would say that people who don't show grief have something wrong with them — they either are defensive, or cold, or they never cared about the person to begin with, or they weren't attached. I had argued no, maybe they're just healthy people. We followed a group of people in Michigan over six years in a bereavement study where we knew a lot about the people before the loss occurred. We showed that about half the sample showed no symptoms at any point in the study. They just were not depressed before or after the loss, and we found that they were healthy people. They had fine relationships. The interviewers did not find them cold or aloof, and they did not score high on a measure we had of avoidant attachment. That doesn't mean that a healthy person won't grief also, but it seemed that they [a person who feels no grief] might feel sad, they might miss the person, but they keep functioning. We know that the people who don't show grief, it's fair to say, are healthy people."

^Interview with the assistant professor of phycology at Columbia university on different ways grief manifests in people.
"Proving" a conspiracy is true because people don't act in a way that you find normal is pretty short sighted in my opinion.
Aidan-GI'll let everyone else handle this one
Food_Stampsforgot to mention that the guy in the video(Robbie parker) set up a website for funds dedicated to his daughters memory.....the day before the shooting.
zzzskizzzWhere's your proof on that, I'm not taking your word for it. and if you really think the government or someone else did it. They would be stupid enough to make a website the day before the attack?
Food_Stampsya don't, find it on the internet. there are even police reports of his 911 call where he's claiming he is on scene at the school and there are shots so cops need to come, buttttt at the same time he claims in video interviews to have been at the hospital he worked at while the shooting took place....how can he be 2 places at once?
as for proof of website, you can check facebook, Emilie parker fund page...created before the Emilie parker memorial page was created.
also I fucked up, page was created same day as attack, not before.
zzzskizzzI'm not looking up anything if what you say is true and I'm sure a credible news source/someone else has added up the facts. or maybe it's all bullshit being spread around by the Internet, and you're an idiot. I like option B

Food_Stampswell then I guess you will never know if you're unwilling to find facts which were put together by a source you deem credible...

Aidan-GHe's never gonna post shit. I was getting PMs from people like him. They just say shit and you say prove it and then they just keep talking instead of giving you sources
Food_Stamps.....actually it's pretty hard to adhere to the demands of providing sources when you're just going by what you have off the top of your head. you know that event took place in 2012, right lol?
I can do a quick google search and provide you with something though, give me a minute.
Aidan-GWhat did you think he was asking you to do?
Food_Stampsjust because someone wouldn't do your google search for you lol.
Aidan-GWhen anyone makes a claim it is up to them to prove it
Food_Stampsoh ok, so if I make a 'claim' but don't provide a source then there is no proof of it's accuracy even if there are thousands of pages of proof on the internet just sitting there? haha no, son.....I didn't make any 'claim' so I could prove it to another individual, I made a claim to let others make the choice to prove or disprove it for themselves. this isn't a science fair, whether you believe something or not...that's your own opinion.
Food_Stampswell all I did was type Robbie parker into google and then used my mouse to click.....so im guessing that's what he couldn't do himself?
Aidan-GThat's not how it works around here. You start spewing shit you gotta back it up
Food_Stampsno, if you start spewing shit that offends other people...they're gona get their jimmies rustled evidently, but that's about it. what do I need to back up and why? is my life in danger, son?
lol I posted a link to a youtube video of a news interview which was on national television...you don't need to spew anything to have egotistical people demanding you to do things and telling you what "you gotta do" as an individual....
*DUMBCAN*Related: I have a friend who just graduated with a first class (basically a 4.0) masters in Physics and Astrophysics from Sheffield (a world top 100 university), and somehow still believes all this kinda bullshit (also she's started a PhD at Leeds, another well established institution). Like, studying a subject which requires meticulous and pedantic attention to detail, and all that seems to vanish when it comes to conspiracies. The psychology of conspiratards is extremely interesting.
.FRY.please just shut the fuck up
Food_Stampsactually their psychology often revolves mainly around science.......observe + experiment + QUESTION EVERYTHING. so really, that attention to detail is not vanished, it is still being used you just can't recognize it b/c they question things(radically) that you would think of as "unquestionable" or "undeniable" based on whatever the evidence may be.
*DUMBCAN*errrr yeah it has. The critical part of the scientific method is that all claims made are refutable - provide contrary evidence and the idea will go away. Conspiracy theories don't do that - they just ignore contrary evidence or get more absurd.
I question everything I read, hear etc. Doesn't mean I have to come to a stupid irrational opinion, I follow occams razor: "among competing hypothesise, that with the fewest assumptions should be selected as most likely true". Conspiracies often have big assumptions going on.
*DUMBCAN*(There's an exception here for Canada, where scientists must get permission from the government before talking to the media (not entirely sure of the reach of this but it's enough for myself, a research chemist, to be discouraged from ever taking a position in Canada).)
Food_Stampstime and time again those 'conspiracies' are tied into coincidences.....and lots of them, would you agree? what is "stupid and irrational" about having the opinion, "I don't know"??? is it not possible that there just isn't enough evidence to know indefinitely?
I bet you would also agree that the hypotheses with the fewest coincidences should be selected as most likely true?
*DUMBCAN*Coincidence =/= leap of faith. Virtually all of these coincidences have a rational explanation, and the rest are probably just coincidences.
Example as in my post above. Two people with a similar name look alarmingly similar, but to anyone who pays close attention to detail the men are clearly different people. Conspiracy theorists could then respond by saying "what if he had cosmetic surgery", thereby making the theory more absurd where a level-minded person would simply say "you're right, they're clearly not the same person and that idea was as retarded as chemtrails".
