Stiff vs Soft

So i already found a thread on this but it did not answer all of my questions. I am stuck between two skis, one is stiff, while the other is softer. I am using them strictly for park. I don't hit huge jumps, 35' at the most. I do some presses etc on rails, but not a ton. However, i don't always land perfectly and sometimes my tails flex a ton and i fall when landing. I currently use jskis which are pretty soft. Will a pair of skis that are a LITTLE bit stiffer (Pipe Cleaner) than J's be the ski for me, or do i want the stiff skis? (Twalls)

Depends on your style of skiing. Stiff skis are more forgiving in my opinion as you can land backseat and not wash out. The pipe cleaners are pretty stiff but charge but can't butter or press on them, it's pretty hard. The Twalls are easier to press on due to their rocker in the tip and tail.

Pretty sure the TWalls are gonna be softer than PCs. Pipe skis are typically the stiffest park skis on the market. You'll probably be happier on the TWalls if you ski mostly rails, unless you generally prefer a stiffer park ski.

Wasn't sure because the during the review Torin gave of the PC he said it was actually soft. Here is a link

It's pretty soft compared to other pipe skis. But I know someone who went from AR7s (softer than PCs) to TWalls and said the TWalls were softer than the AR7s.

i rid flexey skis and if i land back set on a jump i slip out but jibing around on flex skis is so fun to butter off stuff but rails i don't think it matters i would go with the stiffer ski so u can jumps

id say its all preference, i think skiing is more fun with soft skis.

Ideally you'd want to demo both of them to work out which stiffness you prefer. However if you can't I'd recommend the Twalls as the pipe cleaners are very stiff, and if you're not hitting anything bigger than 35' the Twalls will be plenty stiff for you. They're also more fun to throw around on rails than the pipe cleaners would be

Stiff all the way, may not be as forgiving but it will make you a much better skiers
