Brake width question?

I ordered a pair of look px12 bindings off of getboards and they messed up my shipping and it took them like 3 weeks to get here because I guess fedex didn't do something right so they shipped the bindings back to getboards so in the mean time, getboards sent me another pair but with the wrong brake width.

My question is, are the bindings too wide for my ski? Or should i ship them back? The whole situation sucks and I would rather not ship them back if i didnt have to. My receipt says 80-90mm brake width but they sent me the 90-100mm brake and my skis are 82mm waist width.

if they are more than 15mm more than your waist, they're too wide

Hmm...I'm curious what those brake sizes actually mean. Generally a brake width is only one measurement, not a range (i.e. 90mm brake width, not 80mm-90mm width). I'm wondering if they're just 100mm brakes, in which case they're a bit too wide. Either way, you can usually ask the shop when you get them mounted if they'll trade brakes, they're usually pretty open to that, especially when it's from bigger to smaller.

Rossi use a range guide so a 90-100 should fit skis in the range of 90-100. So ues the are 100 but they are basically telling you the range they will work for. So for the op he would be better off with the 80-90. But op don't send the whole binding back, try to just swap the brake first.

yah for some reason when I try to order the look bindings in only comes in ranges. But thanks for the responses guys im gonna try to trade my brakes at the shop. If they won't then i'm gonna feel bad for sending these back after they tried to make everything better. +k for you guys
