There is a reason they still make Mario games. From Super Nintendo to the Wii there has been non stop Mario games. BECAUSE THEIR THE SHIT. I mean who the hell doesn't have a ball when they are playing a Mario game?! Nobody that's who! So..

Word, the first three is where it's at.

I am kind of Digging how Well Nintendo has preserved the franchise. The new Super Mario 3D World is effing awesome as well as the new Mario Kart.

imo 4 wasn't that good IT was a fun game, I beat the piss out of it but there was something about the ogs that was missing in that game. That said mario kart 64 was the shit.

4 as in Super Mario World? That one is by far my favourite and I played 3 first. I agree with you that ot has a totally different "feel" from 1 and 3 at least, I disagree with 2 because it's such an oddball out of the entire series. It's actually a port of a japan only release called loki loki panic or some shit. The "real" 2 only ever saw a release in Japan as it was thought to be too similar to the OG and too hard for the average American gamer. It eventually made its appearance in the northern hemisphere as "The Lost Levels" in SM All Stars. Most of you guys might know all dis but its interesting stuff so I'll share anyways.

The original Super Mario Bros theme reminds me pf the bowling alley I first saw it in. For some reason the speakers on that console were louder than the rest, amd thays all you could hear. Also, it was sitting right next to the Double Dragon machine.

Which number two sucks north american or japanese? Cause I like the japanese more than north american. (Japanese is just the lost levels released later in super mario all-star for snes)

i've come so close to buying a Wii U several times now. haven't pulled the trigger. Mario kart 8 and the new smash bros coming out make me want it even more
