DIY Glidecam?

Let's be honest $400/300 is a lot to spend. Looking for a DIY glidecam to build before ski season. Looking for any instructional videos or your own creations. +K for help. Thanks guys!

Yeah I don't think anything homemade will work as well at a glidecam but it can for sure be a fun project

Yeah. I'm not expecting it to be super amazing or anything but I have seen some homemade ones that were pretty good.

Here's my DIY Glidecam, cost was around 80$ with materials, but that's because I ordered all stainless steel hardware for it. Made from 6160 Aluminum

You need access to a full machine shop pretty much, took me about 160 hours on a Mill and Lathe then there was also aluminum welding involved, which I did using a TIG Machine

Damn. I have access to a mill and stuff but I'm just not down to weld. Great job though man!

Thanks man, much appreciated! now it would be possible to make without welding, would take a slight bit of redesign but could be done.

weight is maybe 6-8 pounds, its equivalent to a glidecam HD-4000 more or less
