What lies in stept's future?

earlier today, stept formally announced their new film "Ten and Two" on instagram. the movie, according to the caption, "marks the final chapter of Stept's twelve year run of annual ski films." which they followed immediately after with "we couldn't be more excited ... for what comes next." their site has also not been updated and there wasn't a mention of the new flick there yet... maybe in due time however.

i can't say i've watched every film but i've been a huge fan since network and i can't say i'd be sad to see them stop. they put out the best shit in skiing right now and have one of the most stylistically built crews around.

so, i don't think this is the end of the road for stept, rather a turn. but where do you guys think it's going?

i dont know about you but after 12 years of spending tons of personal money, dealing with cross country commutes, busting your ass, getting pretty minimal film budget, and for the most part having your seasons work acclaimed only by one small niche, I would want to move on as well...

They are a studio, they have decent corporate contracts, they have the means to produce quality content, why would they not take advantage of that?

Damn yall do ya homework..he has been around for almost 20 years, dude started filming and competing on a professional level in his early teens.

I was pretty sad when I read this in class today. Imagine some of the Stept guys in a level 1 or 4bi9 movie that would be pretty sick. The stept guys have always made some of my favorite movies.

with their quality of filming im sure theyll be doing projects for companies, hopefully making a good buck. Not too many filmers out there that will send it off 70'+ jumps with a fat camera setup like alex for follow cams

"Clayton Vila, Sean Jordan and myself have teamed up this season to work on a project. We have brought in cinematographer Jameson Walter who shot with us all last season. We will be producing and full length film, and I am pretty happy with the concept we have going. Clayton and I will be sharing the directing and editing roles for the project. It will be a pretty similar program for me in terms of production."
