I shot my first wedding yesterday. Having no experience, and going in somewhat blind I think it ended up okay. Here are three photos from the day. Tell me what you think! Any advice or critique is welcome.

3rd one is the best, second has too much light in the guys face from the sun. First one just looks like a generic point and shoot photo- especially with that other lady in it.

With wedding photos, try and tell a story behind it. So get the shots of the crowd and their faces while the bride is entering, along with the groom. First photo could of used that, second photo is abit awkward and attempt to get the couple in the arch of the church, just makes for a better shot. Third is nice but try to accentuate the background a bit more. Overall the guys punching above his weight.

The bride and groom are too busy half the time to see the candid moments between their guests, which is where you step in. You need Walter1337 and KapitolPhoto up in here, dudes know whats up.

Looks good! However it isn't a bad idea to take them a bit further away so you have more background. Also you really shouldn't take many photos down low which are up close, you aren't trying to make the people look big. Other than that good job!

Good but as stated above more crowd shots and take the pictures from father away 3rd is the best shot IMHO

I'd have used a faster lens and shot it wide open or close to in order to thin out the depth of field. In the first pic and the third pic there's no real need for the background to be sharp and it detracts from the subject, being the people in it.

Second pic the lighting is a disaster, soft flash may have helped you here, again probably a faster lens (or more aperture)

In portraits it's all about the cheesy bokeh man. Unless you get completely carried away to the point that people think you used an instagram filter.
