2015 Armada Al Dente Vs B Dog Vs ON3P Filthy Rich

I was pretty set on the Filthy Riches until i saw reviews on Armadas 2015 line up. Im 5'11 145 pounds and looking for a ski good for jumps and rails. I ski about 55% rails, 45% jumps. I really like softer skis but i've heard so many great things about all of these skis its hard to decide. I ski at Perfect North Slopes in Indiana so i will always be skiing hard pack and ice. I do travel to places like michigan and new york often, but i'm mainly just looking at what will be best at Perfect North. Do the new Al dentes have camber in tip and tail? Anything will help, thanks.

Also any other similar skis recommendations are helpful.

I think the main difference between the skis isn't so much shape and rocker as it is construction. For that sort of use, I'd say go as durable as you can.

Well to answer the question "do al dentes and bdog have camber in tip and tail?" I'm guessing you meant to say rocker. And yes they both do have rocker. All solid skis but I'd personally go fr or bdog.

I heard that the al dentes arnt to great on jumps due to the heavy weight and bulky size, how are the bdogs? I know the filthy riches are at least decent on jumps, and input? Planning on buying either the b dogs or the Filthy RIches tomorrow so anything to help me make up my mind would be helpful!

Honestly alpha x sound great. The rocker in tip and tail make them playful but they are the stiffest out of the 3. They aren't overly stiff tho, you can still have fun. For ice and stuff alphas would be best. Also alphas would be best for bigger features as well. Bdog and fr will ski the same stuff kinda evenly.

But im not to worried about a ski being over playful because i also have t halls that i could use if i wanted to hit big jumps, but i ski at perect north slopes so the jumps never get too big! A playful ski is what i was looking at but how much of a difference would i see between the bdog and the alpha on jumps?

If your going for playful go id go bdogs. That's just me. Fr would be playful as well. On jumps you'll just find (on 30+ ft jumps) that the alphas will be more stable and forgiving in a sense. The stiffness will feel more stable and won't be as easy to wash out.

Pretty much if you want playful ski id go bdog, but that's just me. Fr would be a good choice. I just like a traditional feel when skiing so I like the 5 point deminsions of bdog and the playful ness they have.

Thanks man everything has helped out aton, probably be buying the b dogs, but its so hard considering ive dreamed of the filthy riches for a year!

I skied a 166 on the thall, so i was gonna go 176 on the filthy rich because it skis so short, thinking a 170 on the b dogs? does anyone know how much camber the b dogs have?

How soft are the Filthy Riches, i have heard so many different things. Some people told me they are stiff but playful due to the rocker, others told me they are super soft. I ride the thalls right now so if anyone can compare the flex to those that would be great, but anything you can compare them to will help. 1-10, al dente being a 1 and a 10 being a stiff ass Solomon suspect.

I can help a little. I have jmos and they are softer then my thalls especially underfoot. I would say maybe a 4.5 on your scale. What are you looking to use thi ski for? If you have thalls they are already a soft buttery ski so if you are looking for a ski for jumps and bigger features I would not be looking at the type of skis in your op. I would look for a stiffer full camber ski. But if you are looking to use them more all mnt and for fresh snow that would make sense.

Yea my T Halls are full camber and from what i have tried they are great on jumps, they are alot stiffer than i expected but i still love them. And that does help ive heard the filthy riches are a bit softer than Jmos, is that true?
