Dear Friends of Newschoolers,
Im 26 and need help with a bout of indecisiveness. Right now an Alta pass is about 1000 and the Big Cottonwood pass is the same price. This of course is a shit load of money, but seeing as Im in Utah namely for the winters, I cant afford not to get one, but unfortunately I cant settle on one or the other. Please help me decide. Thanks.

It depends. For me im getting the big cottonwood pass. I have to work a real job m-f so i like the idea of being able to at brighton at night. Also having park available at night and when the conditions arent good is a plus. Bcc also doesnt close as much as lcc.
If i didnt have a normal job and could ski everyday, i would prob choose altabird

The brighton/solidude pass is an epic deal. I'd probably do that if I was trying to ski pow all winter. Hell even brighton has a tight park. Alta is fucking awesome but $1k is tough. If you're going to go alta, drop an extra $500 and get alta/bird.

I'm all for the cottonwoods, Snowbird is my favorite place for sure. But, have you thought about the Epic Pass? I think it's only $750 and you get both PC and Canyons...definitely not the best snow, but if you're a park guy at all that might be the route to go.
