Peter.like if line released a team video it would be weird to jump from segments of parry, max hill, etc then into wallisch's segment
MEOWZERSThis might sound like a stupid question, but do you guys think the contract was for over $100,000? I always wonder what Wallisch is making a year.
Chubz. You're acting like Tom doesn't know how to make skiing fun..
This is what i hate about skiing now, it's all about "who fits in with who" WHO THE FUCK CARES. Line is a stellar company that put's out SICK media and just wants to bring the best vibe possible to skiing. People act like the skiing community is made up of clicky groups filled with teenage girls. And that's wack as hell.
Peter.i'm not saying i'm upset about it, it just seems weird. every ski company has their own style, and tom's doesn't seem to fit with the line crew's style. i'm certainly interested in seeing how it plays out.

K-Dot.How does he not fit in with the Line crews style? Sure maybe he's not gonna be on TC every episode but there is more to Line than that. Line has athletes like LJ and Will Wesson who slay urban and do it with a good amount of style. They also have people like Pollard who has a very fluid style in the bc, much like Tom has in the park. Tom may be a little more comp oriented but if anything, that's exactly what Line needed. They already have a wide range of styles, from Max Hill to Rob Heule, and adding Tom to the mix only strengthens their already diverse team. If anything, I would rather see a company like Line pick him up instead of Scott who doesn't even really have a team that can even be compared to Tom.
soupvolkl has a diverse crew of riders ranging from comp skier phenom Russ henshaw to steeze magee jibber Ahmet Dadali. I get your point of teams having a certain image (K2, Armada) but its not always the case. And for that matter who really cares.
stoked for line to have such a huge name to their list of sponsored riders. im sure levinthal never thought ski blades would lead to the biggest name in our sport rocking his old brand on his feet.
SteakheadHow has no one mentioned the possibility of Line seeing how well he has done for Full Tilt..

jimmy_buckleYou sir win the competition....first mention of Line
Peter.for what it's worth, comparing russ to ahmet is different than comparing people like andy parry to tom wallisch
Chubz. We just need to stop comparing every fucking thing in this sport. Whats the point of it?
Tom is gonna ski the same way, make the same segments and do the same comps regardless of the skis he wears.
If youre so worried about tom not fitting in with the ltc crew then watch the episode where he teaches andy how to afterbang..thats one of the most entertaining episodes of ltc.
i just cant handle this fixation of comparing every. Single. Fucking. Thing. in skiing. Its pointless. Him changing a ski sponsor isnt gonna change anything in the sport
ChubbyBoySteakhead is the rep for Scott I'm pretty sure or he works for Scott so this was in hindsight such a give away. Props to you Steakhead. Very cryptic.
Peter.i can definitely see him attending less and less comps as the years go on, but even if he is focused on his filming, it still doesn't seem to fit the line style. tom has an insanely clean and controlled style, contrary to most of the skiers on line's team, who do absurd things on skis and couldn't care less about k-feds. wesson has a clean style too, but he still does goofy things (pole bounces, etc) that i could never see wallisch doing.
