Has anyone tried using Stable26 heel grip socks?

I have very skinny heels and ankles as does my husband so we are always looking for new boot fitting products. While searching for laces for my inline skates I recently came across the Stable26 socks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcyEb9xN2FQ

They make ski specific socks with what basically look like built in J-bars. They also have a version with silicone padding in the shin. Socks seem nicely made with merino wool and nylon.

I'm just curious if anyone has used these and what their impressions were. I've never seen them before so I'm curious. Seems like they could be useful, especially for snowboard boots where sometimes the liners are built in and you can't add foam. I wonder how they compare to tradition foam j-bars.

We used to sell a similar product. They can work well if you have a reasonably good fit already. With a snug fit they can really tighten things up to give a good high performance fit. With a fit that is a little loose already they can help but change give a slipping feel to the sock sometimes. We found te exta padding would stay in place ( they were rubber pads on te outside of the sock) but the foo may still slip in th sock. So try won't replace good boot fitting but they can help a fit which is pretty much there but could be a little more precise.

One of the things that seems cool is the fact that you can replace the inserts. You can buy insert packs that come with 2,4 and 6mm widths. Seems like that customization would be useful not just because of the variety of thickness but because you could mix and match according to each foot and the inner versus outer j-bars.

I'm not sure the shin pad would do much (booster straps are too effective) but it's removable which is nice.

We actually found it was the shin padding people liked the most. see if you can get a demo pair to test and see what you think.
