Apples. Apple donuts, apple cider, apple pie, or if you're extremely lucky because they only make 5 or so a year you might get a fairy tale pumpkin pie
Gondola dog. its a hot dog wrapped in mozzarella cheese and then breaded with a pizza dough type breading and deep fried and then you dip it in marinara.
blondie.Your town isn't known for that, that's Turkish food. Go to Europe, it's better there. And probably even better in Turkey, who knows?
What hometown is your food known for?
you're actually wrong. donairs and shawarmas in europe are fucking shit and they are not much better in turkey. im assuming this guy is from halifax or something which is in fact known for its donair

Touche on Halifax, looked it up and I was wrong. But Europe has a lot of doner, and while a lot of it sucks, a lot of it is fuckin good. I've had some bomb doner in Austria/Germany.
Quebec is even weirder. At race training at mount sainte anne i had apple and sprout soup and was not impressed. Why couldnt they have given me a cheeseburger and called it good.
Being on the Colombia River salmon is huge here, but the biggest food attraction here is one of the last remaining spudnut shops in America. Spudnuts are the shit.
If you like steak JD....in Clagary on 40 Ave NW ( turn left off of Centre St.) there is a place called Master Meats. It's a small butcher shop, but they cut the best steaks I've ever had in the city. They will cut up anything for you right in front of you upon request.
Dirt Dogs from New Way Lunch are the best thing to have ever in my hometown.
Also we have Villa's Italian Bread, which is sick if you go to the supermarket when they deliver it early on a Saturday morning, because the bread is warm and fresh then.
