First thread
So I was a snowboarder for about 5 years and this year I switched to skiing (in Aus) and have been loving it. I got myself a pair of Armada ARVti 178cm skis and obviously they are a great ski but could a dedicated park ski help me in the park?
I've been getting into park a bit this season but am struggling to get much flex out of the ARVti's and also much rotation.....
Now I am not saying that if I got on a full camber park ski I would immediately throw down but am I partially setting myself up for failure by starting with an all mountain ski or am I just being a bitch and should try harder?
I was thinking the Armada AR7 or Atomic infamous

Well any wider ski will be slower for rotionas simply as there is more ski there. Also if you re new to the park you may well find a softer ski easier. A stiff ski is great when your hitting the biggest jumps as the stiffness helpa give I stability at speed. However when your learning and hitting things slower a stiff ski can be more of a hand full. So to answer your question yes you would find it easier on a park ski but it's not impossible to ski park on wider stiffer skis.

basically a dedicated park ski will do best in the park only... an all mountain twin tip ski would do best if you plan to go everywhere on the mountain

Thanks guys....You basically confirmed what I was thinking myself. I might just have to buy myself some new skis for the slushy bluebird days (which we get a fair few of in Aus)

i ride 102 underfoot skis as my dedicated park ski, honestly a slimmer ski just lets you spin faster but only slightly. its more preference my homie rides 114 underfoot skis for his park ski
