Since I have started school last week, I have been looking back on my summer thinking about all the great memories I have shared with close friends and new. Yet, none of these memories quite trump the madness that was Mt. Hood in the spring. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about I'll put it simply, the time in between West Coast Sessions and when the spring pass expires. These 3? weeks were the highlight of my summer and I believe they trump the entire summer at hood.
Benefits: 1) no campers 2) less people at the airstrip 3) there seemed to be some sort of community between everyone bumming it, battling the rain and desperate attempts to find a sober driver to get more booze at govy gen.
There are no cons. Every experience is enlightening.
This post is for all of those people who I had the pleasure of meeting and skiing with during those short weeks. To Erica (Dahlby and Aarons), John and Jaaaan, Leisel and Yon, Rudy, Dan, Mr. 6 stair himself Karen, the rest of the graveyard crew, hoodcrew, and everyone else I'm forgetting. Oh and the PIGS THAT DECIDED TO ROLL OUR CAMPGROUND!!
I had never seen the ski community so close and righteous than spring in hood. Needless to say I CAN NOT WAIT for next spring and I wish everyone a blessed season until then.
