Contact Lenses

So i have had Glasses for the past 3 years and i tried to get contacts but i couldnt do it. Like i physically couldnt put them in. I am a little upset about it to cause i really want to wear them cause they are more effeciant than glasses. Have any of yall had similar experiences? Tips on it if I try again?

I gave up after i had to go see a doctor twice and have him dig for my lost contacts behind my eye with a fucking popsicle stick.

give up now, if you cant put them in right away you'll probably end up killing yourself.

Contacts freak me out

Make sure your hands are clean and the contact is facing the right direction (curved to fit your eye). I use two fingers to open my eye lids, then pop it in with the other hand. Takes practice, but becomes super easy

I struggled with contacts for months including getting them lost in my eye and putting them in the wrong way and the pain being so bad it took 15 minutes to get them back out. With repetition you will become comfortable with them. I can't imagine skiing/skateboarding without wearing my contacts. Keep on keeping on or if you can afford it get the eye surgery.

If you can't comfortably touch your bare eye without flinching, contacts are gonna be a bitch. Get a set of the trials and give it a go. What didn't you like? Putting them in or actually wearing them?

you'll get it, keep trying

heres a tip:

if you have contacts for astigmatism, there is a little dash on the edge of the contact. make sure that is pointing up. make sure the contact isn't inside out. stare directly into a mirror and put that shit in. if it doesn't feel comfortable right away blink a shitload and the contact will set right.

it'll get better. everyone struggles at first as sticking something in your eye isn't "normal".

it literally takes me 2 seconds to put them in. you'll get it.

I used to use contacts a lot and loved the freedom from glasses. The best thing was getting lazer eye surgery. Complete freedom. If you get the chance I would go for that.

I first got contacts when I was 12, took me two years until I got comfortable wearing them. That was kinda off and on trying them, then just one day I decided I was gonna put them in and I did. Best thing i ever did.

You'll lose them round your eye every now and then, but with patience and persistence you can always get them back. It doesn't happen as often if you don't rub your eyes.

ughhh! wait till one falls out while you are shredding, or at the top of the alps... or when they flutter in your eye while cruising at a massive kicker mid wind up... lol, i got lasik after i crashed my motorcycle because my contacts couldnt handle rocket speed! once you are old enough, get surgery, the cost of glasses, drs, contacts everything ads upp to way more than the surgery.

The benefit of contacts is so worth it once you figure it out. The peripheral vision gain, non fogging, and being able to wear ski goggles without it being a bitch is so worth it.
