Mark_DMy family is thinking of going on a skiing trip. Where have you guys gone that you have liked? We are trying to find a spot for park and to try some pow.
Mark_DHow about keystone???
VTbass802I've been to PC and the Canyons 3 times now (flying twice from Florida, once from Vermont) and I loved every time. It is really awesome if you haven't been (I was also lucky enough to go pow skiing in a snow cat which was some of the most fun I have had on snow) but I can't compare it to anything else out west because I am pretty ignorant to what else is out there unfortunately. It really depends where you live/what your price range is though... so you should probably include that. From what I've heard from my friends Whistler is awesome, same with Keystone/Breckenridge.

SLC and park city are a really good family spot, it's like a 30 minute drive from the airport, and some really good family spots like deer valley and PCMR
GnarbangalakazooKeystone is cool, great park, but it's not one of the better options to go with for pow, as the amount of terrain in the back doesn't really compare to places like Vail or Whistler. Also, not much shopping for mom haha I'd go Whistler if you can.
DeebieSkeebiesHad the opportunity to live in park city with my family, and still live 15 mins outside of the area and it's a great all around resort experiences. Deer valley is without a doubt one of the best places (in terms of lodging, food, etc.) in all of Utah, and the country for that matter. PCMR/canyons are easier on the wallet compared to DV and offer amazing amenities as well, and Better terrain than DV. And if you want, a day trip over to LCC/BCC ( snowbird/alta/Brighton/solitude) is doable, they're just over an hour or so away.
My favorites gotta be Tahoe, though. That place is amazing, lots to choose from for skiing, and a pretty-ass lake.
Mark_DI have always wanted to ski park city. So many sick edits come from park city,
Brule.LAKE PLACID. It's a 5-minute drive to Whiteface, which has everything from park (if you've seen the park update edits on this site) to some great powder skiing on The Slides.
The night life is amazing in downtown, too. Lots of sights to see and there's many pieces of memorabilia around town that's from when they hosted the Olympics in 1980. Tons of shops in downtown (for those who don't feel like skiing during the day) and various places to sit down with the family and enjoy a nice dinner, too.
asfdfadsIf you have passports, i would recommend a trip up what is known by some as the Powder Highway!

A friend and I traveled between Panorama, Kicking Horse, Lake Louise, and Sunshine Village this spring break (2nd weeek of April) and had a rad time!
Highlights included sweet slushy laps at Panorama, awesome tech chutes at Kicking Horse which were fun without fresh snow, awesome jump lines and steeps at Lake Louise, and some unexpected pow as well as a fun park at Sunshine Village!
On your way up, hitting up Schweitzer Mountain Resort while in the states might be worth your time too!
Best of luck having a rad trip!
