Pressure washers.

What are you using it for? If its to power wash a car or boat or something, hot water all day everyday (but careful cause its hard on stuff like this if you don't keep moving). You don't even have to use soap practically. But to have it setup is a bit of a pain which is why I just use a regular one. Can't remember on psi of ours though.

hot water is nice but the boiler is just one more thing that can break and require repairs. at least thats the problem we have with ours at work

get the hot water one. the heat makes such a huge difference.

The boiler is kind of a pain in the ass honestly I used one and all it did was get the wand so hot that it burned the fuck out of my hands through my gloves after a few hours. I think if you have a specific use that hot water is going to be a must have then sure, but just for your driveway or whatever I wouldn't bother, get the higher PSI machine.

Also, as far actual force goes, the flow is more important than the PSI. If your gallons per minute is constant,and you double the PSI your actual lb/ft of force only goes up like 40%, whereas if you increase the flow and keep the PSI constant its more of a 1/1 ratio. Its because even though you don't see it there is a small amount of elasticity in the hose that results in pressure loss. So if you have a chance to demo the machines I guarantee option 1 is going to hit a lot harder than the option 2.

we used our hot water machine for taking wax off of bricks. hot water actually makes a big difference, i think our hot on a 2500 outperforms a regular 3500 in the same application. BUT it seems like 1/2 the time i need it it's broke.

i guess it depends on what you're using it for and how often it gets used. ours sits for months and then gets used 50 hours a week for 2-3 weeks at a a time.
